Sharp shooter

The bipolar man who held a Florida school board at gunpoint was frustrated and broke. When his wife was fired from her teaching job and their benefits ran out, he went to the board meeting and said he was prepared to die. Clay Duke killed himself Tuesday after firing at the board members, missing them by mere inches, and exchanging a volley of gunfire with a security guard. A day later, his wife tearfully talked about the man she loved, calling the 56-year-old father a "gentle giant."

This event was tragic but weird at the same time, the man shot off 15 rounds and didn't hit one person. Cops think he purposely missed so one of the security guards would take him down eventually the man shot and killed himself after being taking down.

106 and still doing it.

Actor and singer Johannes Heesters has given up smoking for love at age 106. Dutchborn Heesters, who will turn 107 on Sunday, has been married to German actress Simone Rethel since 1992. Heesters said he quit smoking couple weeks ago. "I did it for love, for my wonderful wife," Heesters said.

In my opinion, its kind of to late to quit smoking he is 107 years old i mean come on, how much longer can you live? and besides if his wife is 61 and he is 107 she HAS to be in it for the money. seriously. boom.

Tomas...

More than 1 million people were advised to leave earthquake homeless camps in Haiti's rubble-choked capital Wednesday as disaster officials watched the approach of Tropical Storm Tomas. Few of the earthquake survivors who have spent nearly 10 months alternately under plastic tarps and tents.
Painfully slow reconstruction from the quake, prior storms and the recent committing of resources to fight a growing cholera epidemic have left people with few options and overtaxed aid workers struggling to help.

Personally, i beileive America has done just about everthing they can do to help out Haitians. But i also think that other countries need to pitch in on some things to help. We as Americans need to form some sort of shelter/shelters for the homeless families in need of help and survival.

Sharp shooters linked

The FBI has linked a shooting at a U.S. Coast Guard recruiting office in Woodbridge, Virginia to four other similar incidents at military sites around the Washington area, an FBI spokesman said on Wednesday.
No one has been injured in any of the shooting incident which have caused only minor damage. They began in October. FBI's Washington office, said last week that they didn't believe the individual involved wanted to harm anyone but he warned that such shootings can accidentally lead to major consequences.

In my opinion, Firing warning shots is just going to start things with the U.S which we don't need are this point in our economy. Lucky these warning shots didn't harm or kill anyone but it frustrated the Coastal Guard and in my opinion is a little over board.  therefore no matter what the situation is or was these shots do not need to be fired at anyone to make a point .

Blasts Kill 76.... ouch

Rapid fire bombings and mortar strikes killed 76 people and wounded more than 200 across Baghdad's myriad neighborhoods Tuesday demonstrating the insurgents' ability to carry out coordinated strikes from one side of the capital to the other.

The bombings began at about 6:15 p.m. and lasted for hours. The assailants used booby-trapped cars and a motorcycle, roadside bombs and mortars. Though 10 neighborhoods targeted were home to mostly Shiites, a couple of strikes hit Sunni communities as well.

In my opinion we as Americans need to find a way to stop all mass chaos around the whole world. not only for us but for everyone else. It hurts just as much the U.S as it does other citizens in the world.

Oh Four Loko....

If you’ve never heard of Four Loko, you probably aren’t in college, where as many as one in four students have swilled some sort of beverage like Four Loko that mixes alcohol and caffeine with a fruity flavor.

In my opinion, these types of drinks should be banned and not sold so that situations like this can be handled and wont occur to teenagers and under aged drinkers. these types of drinks will and can kill someone that is doesn't have experience drinking. in college one and four kids drink this drink four loko. personally i think this drink should either be less alcholic or just not made at all.

San Fransico Giants

New world champion San Fransico Giants recently pulled off their first World Series Victory since 1955. in 1955 they were in New York Giants and then moved across to San Fransico.

The San Fransico Giants are a team that made the playoffs in the last day of the regular season. They were the most underrated team to come through to the post season this year. they were behind the New York Yankees, defending Champs Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers and many other teams with bigger salary caps and more venue then them.

is Randy forreal?

Recently, Randy moss was a so thought great addition to the Minnesota Vikings. everyone that was a Minnesota fan was either in love or in hate. I can honestly say i am and was for him coming to help out the struggling Vikings.

On November 1st, head coach Brad childress deiceied he has had enough of Randys attitude and waived him. He made this decision without the owner of the Vikings Ziggy Wilf. This choice could ruin Childress job and be done. many people think the cutting of randy moss was because of his press conference he recently had speaking about how much he missed his old team, New England Patriots. i am against the releasing of Randy moss because he was a great addition even though it didn't show up in the stats column.

Hotel replaces room keys with mobile phones

Assa Abloy AB the world's largest maker of door locks, has launched a pilot in which Clarion Hotel Stockholm will lend customers mobile phones with close-range radio chip much like devices used for contact-less payments at gas stations.

In my opinion, i think that this is a legit technology idea for the near future. things in the world are going to change quickly with all this new technology coming out. this is topic is a great example of change in the world because hotels and vending machines etc. are starting to charge the amount you spend to your mobile phone by just typing in your cell phone digits. therefore the money you spend on products such as vending machines will just go straight to your phone bill rather then paying on the spot. I am for the new devices and technology i also believe this will be the future technology and take the world along way.

"paygo?" issue 2.

I chose issue two because it really caught my eye when people in America think that the pay as you goes attitude is the wrong approach. pay-as-you-go is basically self explanatory. you pay as you go is a requirement where new mandatory spending proposals or tax reductions must be offset by cuts in other mandatory spending or by tax increases, to ensure that the deficit does not rise. In my opinion i believe that "paygo" is the best way for Americans to fix spending money that they don't have. proponents say its necessary to show that Congress understands that deficits matter and should be contained. Such supporters argue that paygo rightly responds to citizens' concerns about profligate spending. This requires entitlement spending, which meansthat the congress recommaneds levels of funding depending on how much or how they want to spend the money that they have.
Another reason why I'm for "paygo" is because, If America doesnt have "extra money laying around", then we dont need to be spending the money on items we dont need or cant afford. The National Debt Clock is shown Monday, Feb. 1, 2010 in New York. President Barack Obama sent Congress a $3.83 trillion budget on Monday that would pour more money into the fight against high unemployment, boost taxes on the wealthy and freeze spending for a wide swath of government programs. The deficit for this year would surge to a record-breaking $1.56 trillion. The Debt Clock is a privately funded estimate of the national debt. Could this be "911" all over agian?

Thousands of Afghans protested a Florida church's plan to attempt to burn the Muslim holy books, the church's pastor said he won't follow through with the burning if he's able to meet Saturday with the organizers behind a mosque planned near ground zero in New York. there were 11 injuries in this protest out side of the church in gainsville. Protesters also burned an American flag during the protesting done on friday.

In my opinion, i believe that building a mosque would cause more drama and more war. think think this because they dont necessarily need to build it right next to the new up coming tade center. many americans will have many many problems with this event. i dont agree with the florida pastor burning their " muslim holy book" because that is wrong. we wouldnt like them burning out bible. i believe that we could settle on an agreement and maybe pay for the musims mosque to be put somewhere else. this new trade center will be considered a "memorial" therefore it wouldnt be the best location for a mosque.
